We are pleased to inform you of the forthcoming Folk music festival “Interfolk in Russia” to be held in St Petersburg, Russia, from 09 to 14 of November 2012.
St Petersburg welcomes the choirs, dance groups and folklore ensembles from all over the world; your songs and dances will contribute to a sunny atmosphere in St. Petersburg for professional dialogue to share experiences and repertoire.

The Festival is held by Committee for Culture of St.Petersburg City Administration and “Inter Aspect” Creative Association, under the aegis of the State Cappella of St. Petersburg, the St Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts, The Russian State Pedagogic University. We are proud of being a partner of the European Association of Folklore Festival (EAFF).
Folklore ensembles are eligible to join the Festival either as non-competitive participating in all the performances of the festival, or as competitive ensembles.

PARTICIPANTS:
 Vocal groups performing folklore music: choirs and ensembles
 Dance groups performing traditional and folklore dances
 Instrumental groups: orchestras and ensembles, performing folk music
 Groups enacting parts of folk ceremonies, rituals, popular games, etc.

CATEGORIES:
А – folklore vocal, authentic folklore (choirs and ensembles)
B – classic vocal and modern arrangement of folklore music (choirs and ensembles)
С – instrumental ensembles and orchestras (folklore music)
D – choreographic ensembles and pairs (folklore dances)

No limitations are placed on age and number of participants.
CONTEST PROCEDURE: The contest shall consist of 2 rounds:
Grand Prix is 40000 Roubles (~1000 EUR)

Na Megdana - Gala Concert of Folk Dance Ensemble Horo with guest-singer Dessy Dobreva and Temenuzka and Angel Zekovi - performers of Bulgarian folk music

All of us, members of the Bulgarian Folk Dance Ensemble Horo, are excited to invite you to our Gala-concert, which is going to take place on November 17 of this year. On the stage you will see love thrills, stolen flowers, banter, whispers, dance competitions and rejoicings.
