FESTIVAL SUMMER 2013
INTERNATIONAL SUMMER ART ACADEMY

Let’s all sing and compete in singing, let’s all play and excel in playing, let’s all dance and out dance.
Organized for eleventh consecutive time by “EUROGRADE” LTD and “EUROGRADE BG” LTD with the support of Primorsko Municipality

The festival is part of a series of events in the program of the Festival season 2013, it’s organizing in Sofia and Primorsko:
The festivals are included in the cultural program of Primorsko with the assistance of the mayor of the municipality.

The festival has the objective to give a chance for expression on a significant number of children and young people and help raise their motivation to engage in constructive creative activity as a preventive measure in combating the vicious addictions (cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, etc.) and aggression.
Exchange of information and creative achievements of the dance styles.
Deadline for submission of application form: - to 10.04.2013;
Type of the festival: The festival doesn’t have a competitive character, only concerts on the stages in city Primorsko and Kiten.
REGULATION
AGE GROUP:
The age group in the academy is to 25 years.
CRITERIA OF PARTICIPATION:
In the academy can participate folklore dance and vocal groups, instrumental players and solo- singers, as well as performers from other art genres.
Out of the academy program, can participate and other groups without restraints in the age, at the same conditions in the offer.

REQUIRMENT:
The Academy includes 3 sessions for 10 days.
During each session 2-5 concerts are performed in Primorsko, Kiten and other settlements in the municipality. They are also underlying in the program of Primorsko Municipality.
DANCE GROUPS:
- Don’t have limit for the number of participants.
- The program of every group must to include own concert, and participation in the other mixed concerts with duration from 5 to 30 minutes.
VOCAL GROUPS AND SOLOISTS:
- The program must to include one song- acappella, the other with music accompaniment- for participation in the mixed concerts with duration from 5 to 30 minutes.
- Note: It’s recommended to be with live orchestra.
- Use of CD only with studio CD recording.

ORGANIZATION:
The programs for individual participation and these for the festival days will be given in the day of the arrival of the groups.
During the festival the concerts and the competition nights are on open summer stage in Primorsko and Kiten and on open stages in the area of the municipality.
It is envisaged a festive parade before the start of the concerts in each of the festival, exhibitions - bazaar of souvenirs, a meeting with the municipality administration, video and photo capture of the performances.
(The organizers reserve the right of any kind of recording, filming, broadcasting and distributing of the material without paying for rights and benefits.)
For all participants of the festival have the following entertainments: Disco, Neptune’s night, Miss and Mister Festival.
On the Gala concert will be allowed only the nominated groups and these which the jury estimate.
For all participants in the festival were provided participation diplomas, plaques for the nominated, which will be presented at the gala concert.
For the participants during the festival is provided accommodation in hotel two stars, on the base of full board in city Primorsko against payment.

Transportation costs to Primorsko and back shall be paid by the participants!!!
Transport costs for the participants during the festival of the stages in Primorsko and Kiten are for the cost of the organizers.
The fees obligatory must to be paid by bank transfer in 15 days, after the confirmation for participation from the organizers. In this period it is necessary to send the transfer confirmation by email or fax. Applications without confirmation are canceled.

The seminar will be held at Papa Nero, a wonderful place by the Aegean sea at Pilion, the beautiful green mountain at the central part of Greece.
During the nine days of the seminar Kyriakos and other teachers will teach dances from the northern part of Greece (Macedonia, Thrace), Pontic and dances from Pilion and Skiathos island. The lessons will last two and half hours in the morning and another two in the evening. In the meantime participants could enjoy the picturesque Ai Yianni or Damuchari beaches.
Parties with live music will take place during the seminar as well as parties in the taverns where dinner will be served. Accommodation will be at “Katerina” hostel (http://www.papanero.com/HostelKaterina/) very close to the beach. Even closer will be the dancing place which will have a wooden floor. A unique place!
The number of the participants will be restricted to less than 30 people.

3rd International Folk Dance and Arts Festival
Serbia, Belgrade - July 3-8, 2013

Performances of folk groups, songs and dances with the purpose of preservation of the national singing, music and dancing cultural traditions.
Creating international artistic atmosphere for Belgrade citizens and audience and the participants of the festival; making evenings of friendship.
Demonstration of the folk costumes of different nations / exhibition of historical costumes and show of the national costumes.
Showing national games (dances) / involve the audience.

The main idea of the Organizers is to gather folk and national art groups from all over the world for close communication and presentation of their own national dance heritage, getting acquainted with other cultures and future international collaboration, moreover a cultural friendship in the area of art and with the help of art. The aim of the festival is development of new forms of the communications and intercultural dialogue.

General Information
- Participation of 9-10 foreign and 3-4 domestic ensembles
- Accommodation is in student dormitory of hotel quality. The rooms have 4 beds with own bathrooms. Free internet access is available; own gym, sauna and pool, place for rehearsals and free parking for the buses. Full-board catering is provided (breakfast, lunch and dinner) in the dormitory canteen.
- The compound of the ensemble must not outnumber 48 people.
- Prepare for programs of 25 minute performances, 10 minutes of gala performances and street parades
- Organized free time: sightseeing Belgrade, boat trip on Danube, shopping, swimming in Lake Ada, “Games without limits” (competition in sports and games…)
- Groups can sell their original and authentic products, folk arts, crafts and/or music during the festival and the performances.

Participating groups may opt whether to stay for 3, 4 or 5 nights at the festival.

Participants are ensembles from Rusia, Indonesia, India, Poland, Ukraine, Greece, Turkey, Serbia, Bosnia,Romania, Slovenia, Montenegro, Italy, Sweden, Moldavia, Armenia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Croatia, Czech, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Hungary…

04.07. – Arival of ensemble at hotel, room accommodation, and facultative tour of Prague with attendance of professional local guides: walk through main avenue Vaclav…, National museum, then Staromestke namesti (main town square) and view on famous astronomical watch-Orloj. Departure to a famous Prague ghetto-Jew square and visit to Staronov Synagogue. Then departure to Vltava and tour of Carl’s bridge, the Old tower and monument to Carl the IV, National divaldo (theater) and then return to hotel. Diner. Facultative departure to some of the discotheques for social activities and entertainment. Return to hotel. Overnight stay.

05.07. – After breakfast facultative whole day tour to Carl’s Vari, the most famous health resort in Czech and one of the most famous in Europe which was visited by many European rulers, brilliant painters, poets, and other famous people or hall day excursion to beautiful city of Dresden !!! Return to Prague. Going back to hotel.
Dinner. Overnight stay.

06.07. – Breakfast. After breakfast second facultative tour of city: Hradčany (Prague castle with cathedral of saint Vita and chapel of Saint Venceslava, basilica of Saint George, Loret, Golden street…), arrival at Vltava and Carl’s bridge.
Sound check.
Perform of cultural-art societies. Receiving of certificates. Dinner.
Facultative: Mutually– friendly night.
Overnight stay.


07.07 – Breakfast. Facultative ship tour on the river Vltava. Return to hotel. Leaving the hotel and unfortunately moving of all ensembles back to their arrival point. Leavin of hotel and unfortunately returning of all ensemles to their point of departure with another meeting next year!!!!

PARTICIPATING CONDITIONS:
- Number and age of participants is not limited
- Each group should bring a flag of their country.
- The group should have prepared at least 15-20 minutes program accompanied by orchestra or CD
- The registration form should be sent before 31st of March, 2013 in order to confirm your participation. Once you have submitted your registration form, a confirmation will be delivered to you along with payment instructions. Only 25% of the total amount should be paid before 10th of April 2013, for garant tax and reservation. The invitation letter will be sent to you after reveivimg your payment receipt. The rest of the total ammount for the group, must be received in the day of your arrival in Pieria.

6/7/2013: Day of arrival - Check in at hotel – A detailed program and a person in charge will be provided to each group. Free time for swimming, walk to the markets and clubs – Dinner (in consultation with the hotel).

10th Romanian Folk Dances “Banatfolk”

The program of this workshop includes the teaching of folk dances from Banat and Romania.
The organizers of this workshop are professionals with a great experience in their fields: Toma Frentescu, artistic director and master choreographer of the folk ensemble "Timisul" and Marius Ursu, artistic director and master choreographer of the folk ensemble “Doina Timisului”

The program of this workshop includes the teaching of folk dances from Banat and Romania.
The organizers of this workshop are professionals with a great experience in their fields: Toma Frentescu, artistic director and master choreographer of the folk ensemble "Timisul" and Marius Ursu, artistic director and master choreographer of the folk ensemble “Doina Timisului”

Dance teachers:
- Marius Ursu, artistic director and master choreographer of the folk ensemble “Doina Timisului”. Marius teaches Romanian folklore dances to amateur and professional folk ensembles, in courses and various workshops. He has participated to workshops in countries like: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Serbia, Switzerland, etc.

From Monday evening, the 8th of July to Thursday, the 18th of July 2013, after breakfast.

Timisoara, the capital of Banat, a town in the west part of Romania, also known as the town of roses.

From 10 until 14 of July, 2013 will be the 24th edition of the International Folk Festival “The Festival of Hearts" (will take part group from 10 countries and from Romania more than 20 folk groups: professional and villages).
Each evening in this period we will see the performance of "The Festival of Hearts" (Festival stage located in the Park of the Roses)

We will prepare a choreographic suite from Banat, which we will present the closing show of The International Folk Festival “The Festival of Hearts”

For the 14th annual summer seminar organized by Kyriakos Moisidis the regions of Kavala and Drama in east Macedonia will be highlighted. Located 150 kilometers from the city of Thessaloniki these regions are home to villages of a variety of ethno-linguistic origins including the older local inhabitants among whom are the "dopii" (local) Macedonians, Vlachs and Sarakatsans as well as more recent refugee settlers from the former Greek regions of Pontos, Cappadocia, coastal Asia Minor and eastern and northern Thrace.
Dances and songs from 7 villages will be taught during the duration of the seminar. Information pertaining to local costume, customs and history will also be presented. Classes will be taught each morning either by Kyriakos or a native researcher from the specific village to be presented while each afternoon a visit to the village to meet the inhabitants is planned. The same evening the seminar participants will have the opportunity to dance alongside the local villagers to the sounds of live music played on traditional instruments while tasting local delicacies prepared especially for the event. A unique immersion into local culture.
