The Bulgarian rose production is popularised every year during the Festival of Roses. This festival of the roses originates from the celebrations held at the beginning of the rose-harvesting period at which the manufacturers from the whole valley sang and danced, dressed up in rose flowers, together with masked dancers called koukeri.

Most intersting now are the electing of Queen Rose, the harvesting ritual in the rose gardens and the parade along the streets of the town.

International Folk Workshops `Powrót do Ÿróde³ – wielokulturowoœæ wspólnej Europy` (Return to the sources – multicultural character of the common Europe) are for interested young artists, who are concerned with folk creation, dancing, music and taking care of regional tradition. These workshops are not a kind of competition.

In workshops can take part groups from different European coutries (one group can’t be bigger than 20 people).

Every year Marmara Tourism and Folkdance Research Association (TUFAD) organizes a festival for cultural exchange, improving friendship and mostly for contributing to the world peace. This year's festival will include children between 8 and 14.
The Festival starts on 1st June 2005 and ends on 6th June 2005. The member of our association will be happy to have the children from all around the world participating TUFAD International Festival of Children that will be held in Istanbul in June.

International Folklore Academy `Nestia-Black sea 2005` is organized by Folklore Centre Nestia.
It is a kind of summer school, where the participants will learn music and folklor dances.
In the IFA can take part: folklore ensembles; dancing and vocal groups; soloists and instrumentalists; visiting ensembles and groups 25 years old. In this event can take part players from the others art genres too.

In the frames of the SALON DES ARTS of the National Palace of Culture – SUMMER CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL (May 11 – June 30).

In the panorama can take part: dance groups and ensembles, folklore ensembles, folklore vocal groups, choirs and individual performers, instrumental groups and individual performers up to 19 years old. In the `Folklore Fiesta` after the festive program can take part groups of members older than 19 years of age.
