The National Folk Festival presents an all-embracing programme of folk culture, including programmed concerts, blackboard concerts, instrumental, singing and dancing sessions, street performers, world poetry, art and craft workshops, shopping, food and more...

Diptich-Choir from Sofia (Bulgaria) consists of two parts: the young women perform bulgarian authentic a-cappella folk songs, the young men perform old slavonic liturgian songs.

Both groups will take part in various concerts in Berlin during the Easter-time. Their director, Prof. Ljudmila Dobrinova will offer lessons and workshops for those, who are interested in this kind of music and singing.
On Monday, 28th of March there will be a concert of Diptich together with Ensemble Ljuteniza from Berlin.

International Competition

Classic, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Funky, Hip-Hop dance will be for the fourth time at the centre of preselections nights at the Municipal Theater of Porto San Giorgio and finale night at the Eagle’s Theatre in Fermo. Folk/Ethnic dance will be introduced for the first time this year .All event participants and international guests will perform throughout the competition in the presence of prominent showbiz and governmental personalities. Our organization invites you to participate in this international event, because we believe in the harmony and love of dance and its magnificent variety made of schools, individuals, groups who sacrifice to make their dreams come true. Balkan Plus Fun returns to San Rafael. The Balkan Dancers of Marin hold their third annual Balkan Plus Party in the Masonic Lodge Hall, 1010 Lootens St., San Rafael, Saturday, April 2, 8:00 - ll:00 p.m.
This is a mainly Balkan party with 16 request slots where dancers can request whatever they like, either from our dance list of about 320 dances, or they can bring their own tapes of commonly done dances. It was a lot of fun last year with a big turnout.
