International Folklore Academy `Nestia-Black sea 2005` is organized by Folklore Centre Nestia.
It is a kind of summer school, where the participants will learn music and folklor dances.
In the IFA can take part: folklore ensembles; dancing and vocal groups; soloists and instrumentalists; visiting ensembles and groups 25 years old. In this event can take part players from the others art genres too.

Prespa Lake is a natural border between Albania, Fyrom and Greece. Dance teaching of these 3 countries, plus participation of teachers from Bulgaria and Roumania... Musicians, travel to Fyrom, etc ... This seminar is organised by Yannis Konstantinou (originating from the place).

The Festival is said to be one of the biggest international folklore forums in the Balkans. It is a huge national event with world fame and a unique atmosphere.

In the course of the seven consecutive edditions of the festival took part, 73 folklore ensembles from 40 states in Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America, as well as 65 Bulgarian folklore formations. During the 1998-2004 period guests and participants were more than 4100 friends of the world folklore art. Over 220 concerts have been held in 28 towns and 22 villages both in the region and throughout the country, which have been attended by more than 240 000 viewers.

INTERNATIONAL DAYS OF FOLK ART to be held in DJEMILA (SETIF), ALGERIA 25- 31 July 2005.



We will pay the accommodation and full board in tourist hostel and Transport from Algiers to Sétif and in addition to a daily amount as a pocket money, But each group must ensure the transfer to our republic by itself.

For the 8th year, admirers of the Balkan folklore will come to learn more about the customs, the culture and the traditions of the Balkans and the beauty of Bulgaria.

The Seminar this year will be held in the town-resort of Bankya (15km away from Sofia city), at Zheravna Hotel. It is planned a two-day trip to the famous Koprivshtitsa Folklore Festival (6-7 of August).

The workshop includes classes on:
Bulgarian and Macedonian dances,
Bulgarian folk singing,
Different Bulgarian folk insruments and
Bulgarian language

At the Festival will participate groups from Bulgaria, Slovenia, Mexico, Turkey, Serbia, Hungary, Greece and other.

The organizers invite groups for authentic folklore to participate in this event.

At the 21st INTERNATIONAL DEVREK STICK and CULTURE FESTIVAL will be INTERNATIONAL 2nd GOLD STICK FOLK DANCE COMPETITATION. The participating dancers are expected to be of age 16 and over 16 years old.
