       39th International Folklore Festival, Zagreb

The 39th International Folklore Festival will be dedicated to the folklore of eastern Croatia (Slavonija, Srijem and Baranja) with the particular intention to include also the Croats from the wider Panonian region, i.e. from Vojvodina and Hungary. The festival will specifically deal with spring processions.
The accompanying events include the concert of sacral folk songs and ethno music concerts (native ethnomusicians inspired by the traditional music of eastern Croatia, as well as prominent foreign representatives of world music). We plan to organize two ethnographic exhibitions: one dealing with textile handicrafts and the other with eastern Croatian spring processions.
The festival will be accompanied by various musical and dance workshops, as well as the workshop on traditional hairdressing of eastern Slavonia
