Folklore and the city - Festive anniversary concert

Tanets Folklore Club was established on November 9, 2005 in Sofia by Lachezaria Pavlova, choreographer - winner of "Silver Lyre" from the Union of Bulgarian Musicians and Dancers.

The name "Tanets" means "Leader". In Shopluk, where the club is located, the one who leads the dance is called Tanets, and the one in the queue is called Kulchok. The best players are caught on Tanets and Kulchoka.

In the "Tanets" club we are different in age and profession, but we are united by the love for Bulgarian folklore. With ease and pleasure we perform authentic folklore people from different ethnographic regions of Bulgaria - Shopska, Severnyashka, Thracian, Rhodope, Dobrudzha, Pirin.
This year Tanets Folklore Club turns 15 and Tanets-Junior" 5 years.

We will perform our anniversary concert "Folklore and the City" on December 5 at 6:30 pm in the hall of the Russian Cultural Information Center at 34 Shipka Street. Sofia.
