International Folklore Academy `Nestia-Black sea 2005` is organized by Folklore Centre Nestia.
It is a kind of summer school, where the participants will learn music and folklor dances.
In the IFA can take part: folklore ensembles; dancing and vocal groups; soloists and instrumentalists; visiting ensembles and groups 25 years old. In this event can take part players from the others art genres too.

A Folk Dance Conference on the Island of Crete

Once again, the MAZOXI Folklore and Dance Conference will feature instruction in the colorful folk traditions of various Greek provinces and islands. Instructors are regional experts who have devoted their lives to teaching authentic styles of Greek music, song and dance. The 39th International Folklore Festival will be dedicated to the folklore of eastern Croatia (Slavonija, Srijem and Baranja) with the particular intention to include also the Croats from the wider Panonian region, i.e. from Vojvodina and Hungary. The festival will specifically deal with spring processions.
The accompanying events include the concert of sacral folk songs and ethno music concerts (native ethnomusicians inspired by the traditional music of eastern Croatia, as well as prominent foreign representatives of world music). We plan to organize two ethnographic exhibitions: one dealing with textile handicrafts and the other with eastern Croatian spring processions.
The festival will be accompanied by various musical and dance workshops, as well as the workshop on traditional hairdressing of eastern Slavonia

Prespa Lake is a natural border between Albania, Fyrom and Greece. Dance teaching of these 3 countries, plus participation of teachers from Bulgaria and Roumania... Musicians, travel to Fyrom, etc ... This seminar is organised by Yannis Konstantinou (originating from the place).

The Festival is said to be one of the biggest international folklore forums in the Balkans. It is a huge national event with world fame and a unique atmosphere.

In the course of the seven consecutive edditions of the festival took part, 73 folklore ensembles from 40 states in Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America, as well as 65 Bulgarian folklore formations. During the 1998-2004 period guests and participants were more than 4100 friends of the world folklore art. Over 220 concerts have been held in 28 towns and 22 villages both in the region and throughout the country, which have been attended by more than 240 000 viewers.
