In Arc Raiders, gear makes all the difference. You can spend hours scavenging for mediocre loot, or you can hit one spot that drops the good stuff every single time. There’s a hidden vault tucked away in Rust Basin that most players walk right past, and it’s worth more than any public loot run. I’m talking rare weapons, high-grade armour, and enough Fuel Rods to keep your upgrades rolling for days. If you’re chasing that kind of haul, this is the place. And yeah, having a stash of ARC Raiders Coins doesn’t hurt either.
Finding this vault isn’t straightforward. Head to “The Needle” – that huge crashed capital ship in Rust Basin – and work your way to the northernmost engine thruster. You’ll spot a collapsed tunnel behind some rubble. It’s small, easy to miss, and sealed by a blast door. To open it, you’ll need two players to stand on pressure plates hidden about twenty metres apart. Hit them at the same time and the door will unlock. No map markers, no hints – just you, your squad, and a bit of patience to locate the spot.
Once inside, the security system’s going to fight you. Don’t rush the laser grid. One player should toss a Signal Jammer onto the ceiling node above it – that’ll mess with targeting. Right after, have your teammates throw three EMP grenades at the conduits on the left wall, one after another. This overload forces the system into a failsafe shutdown. Turrets, drones, everything goes offline for about a minute and a half. That’s your window. Move fast, grab what you can, and don’t waste time poking around.
The loot inside is ridiculous. Skip the small crates – they’re filler. Go straight to the three glowing X-Matter containers in the centre. Each one’s got a rare or epic weapon, often with mods you won’t see anywhere else. There’s also a full rack of tactical gear that’ll boost your defence big time. The real jackpot though is the Fuel Rod cache at the back. You’ll pull eight to twelve rods in one go, enough to craft and upgrade without grinding for days. It’s the kind of run that makes you feel overpowered in your next fight.
You’ve got to be quick – once the system reboots, it’s over. Set roles before you start: jammer, EMP throwers, and someone keeping an eye out for patrols. And don’t count on this lasting forever. Exploits like this get patched, so milk it while you can. A few successful runs and your squad will be kitted out with top-tier gear, making every encounter a lot less stressful.
