During the Chicago Turkish Festival you will find arts, music, dance, food and more at Daley Plaza - 50 W Washington.

Performers from Turkey The performers from Turkey such as Erdemir Folk Dances Group and Balik Ayhan and the Band, as well as a Fashion Show by the Ankara Olgunlasma Institute, will perform mini shows at the festival grounds from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm everyday, as well as full shows in the evenings at other venues.

Additionally, artisans performing traditional arts such as calligraphy, Meerschaum stone carving, carpet weaving, marbling and ceramics will be demonstrating their skills daily from 10 am until 4 pm during the festival at Daley Plaza.

Martin Koenig has been teaching Balkan dance for the past 35 years at universities and folk dance centers throughout North America and Western Europe. His initial and primary focus has been the music and dance created in the context of community celebration.
