A week-long celebration of traditional music and dance with over 300 performers from around the world.
It's the largest independent music festival in the UK and one of the North-East's premier summer events. There's FREE entertainment in the market square all day and great-value shows in the Playhouse theatre most evenings. With first-class accomodation and food, and plenty of other attractions in the area, Alnwick Festival is perfect for a day or weekend break.

Every year the festival receives folklore groups from all over the world to perform there. The festival is not a commercial festival but a festival that brings young people together to play music and dance. There are every year thousand and thousand people to see the performances. There is the biggest folklore mart in the world, where people and groups have the opportunity to sale arts.

For the four-day FOLKLORIADA celebrations, Pécs will turn into a real festival town with a touch of the Mediterranean. Nearly 100 groups - more than 2000 dancers and musicians - from around the world will be performing at venues throughout the city from morning to late into the evening.

Audiences will not only experience unique and spectacular productions but can view the traditional wedding procession through the city centre and can participate in the international Street Dance Celebration of 81 countries.

Day-time programs of parades and live music and dancing in the street will be complemented by performances of invited groups at 6 different stage venues.

Every year, the Edegems Volkskunstkomitee vzw organizes the International Folklore Festival of Edegem, which attracts about 10 000 visitors.

We use three locations:
The municipal sports centre ‘Den Willecom’ for our performances at evening
The gardens of ‘Hof ter Linden’ for the performances in the open air
And the ‘Beethoven auditorium’ of hotel Ter Elst for our gala performance

Thanks to our 80 hostfamilies and 120 co workers we can organize year after year a festival of joy and friendship; where over 15 groups from every corner of the world perform.
