With lively music, colorful authentic costumes and daring athletic prowess the members of FRULA bring the Balkan rich cultural heritage to life. With more than 20 members in the group they transform their traditional folk dances and songs into a dazzling theatrical show. With traditional music and costumes FRULA will dance, sing and leap their way into your hearts as they share their exciting and diverse heritage, including customs and folk tales from Croatia, Serbia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria to name a few!

This Queensland Multicultural Festival is a free one-day event featuring ethnic community and world music groups from Queensland and interstate. This festival is an initiative of Premier Peter Beattie, the Queensland Folk Federation (QFF) manage the event.

"Queensland Multicultural Festival - a world of difference will bring together more than 400 performers from 30 countries and more than 25 international food stalls and restaurants in a significant new event celebrating the state's multicultural diversity," Mr Beattie said.

During the Chicago Turkish Festival you will find arts, music, dance, food and more at Daley Plaza - 50 W Washington.

Performers from Turkey The performers from Turkey such as Erdemir Folk Dances Group and Balik Ayhan and the Band, as well as a Fashion Show by the Ankara Olgunlasma Institute, will perform mini shows at the festival grounds from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm everyday, as well as full shows in the evenings at other venues.

Additionally, artisans performing traditional arts such as calligraphy, Meerschaum stone carving, carpet weaving, marbling and ceramics will be demonstrating their skills daily from 10 am until 4 pm during the festival at Daley Plaza.
