One idea and one Achille Marini dream, realized with the first edition in 1998, animated and determined to realize this binding demonstration with only one and big wish:
see every year, assembled under one only flag, many earth peoples cultures and their artistic expressions in the most varied forms. Free from nationalism and prejudices.
It is a big holiday, in which the competition becomes secondary at a moment of meeting and comparison among many different national cultural traditions and artistic inheritances.

The annual festival for author songs will be held in the town of Bansko. The competitors' songs, however, must be close to the Pirin folklore melodies, a new trend in the music life of the country.

For the first time this year in the festival will participate performers from the Balkan countries - Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Greece, Turkey.

At the competition will be presented 26 author songs (chosen from 250). They are all written particularly for the festival and will be performed in Bulgarian language.

The concerts start at 8.30pm every night at the stadium `St Peter`- Bansko. Tickets can be found at `Nikola Vaptsarov` sqr., free for children uder 14.

Songs, dances and music in the Rhodope Mountains. Bulgarian groups, performers and Ensembles will come to Rozhen (in the Smolyan Region of Bulgaria).
