This is the second edition of the International Folklore Festivities “Europe greeting Sofia”. The concerts are held on open air and groups from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Greece, Nigeria, Serbia, Macedonia, Turkey and others will take part.

Second edition of “Folklore festivities” in the town of Pleven
The festival is organized by the Severnyashki ensemble for folklore songs and dances at Pleven. Philip Koutev, Trakia and Toundja folklore ensembles will perform on the stage in the centre of the town. The Nashencheta and Mizia ensembles from Pleven will also perform and the Severnyashki ensemble will represent the most recent part of their repertoire, the composition called “Moods of Pirin”, choreography by Ivaylo Ivanov and music by George Andreev.

Macedonia Folk International festival
This second edition of the festival is organized by the Blagoevgrad Municipality. It represents performers, composers and groups for folklore songs from the region of Macedonia and modern songs based on traditional Macedonian songs.
A spectacle called “The Balkans for Europe” will be the closing event the last evening.
