INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVE FESTIVAL OF ARTS
„EUROPEADA 2013”

The festival is part of a series of events in the program of the Festival season 2013, it’s organizing in Sofia and Primorsko, including:
The festivals are included in the cultural program of Primorsko with the assistance of the mayor of the municipality.
The festival has the objective to give a chance for expression on a significant number of children and young people and help raise their motivation to engage in constructive creative activity as a preventive measure in combating the vicious addictions (cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, etc.) and aggression.
Exchange of information and creative achievements of the dance styles.
Deadline for submission of application form: - to 10.04.2013;
Type of the festival: The festival has a competitive character and will be held in two competitive directions:
FOLKLORE DANCES AND VOCAL GROUPS AND SOLOISTS;
MODERN DANCES AND POPULAR MUSIC
REGULATION

In the competition can participate dance ensembles, vocal groups and soloists, instrumental formations and individual singers.

Criteria:
The festival is held in four competitive categories:
- Solo performances;
- duet;
- chamber groups - to 7 person;
- formation – up to 8 person.

FOLKLORE DANCE AND VOCAL GROUPS AND SOLOISTS
Age groups:
- Children groups and solo artists - to 12 years;
- Youth formations and solo artists - from 13 to 16 years;
- Youth formations and solo artists - from 17 to 22 years

Categories:
Competent jury will evaluate and rank the candidates in the following categories:

- Folklore dances and songs;
- Stylized folkloreСтилизиран български фолклор;
REQUIRMENTS

Dance groups:
There is no limit for the number of participants.
The program of the dance groups must to include two dances by your choice- with maximum duration to 15 minutes.
Vocal groups and solo artists:
The program must include two songs, the first a cappella, the second with musical accompaniment,
with duration to 7 minutes.
Note: It’s recommended the accompaniment to be with live orchestra.
- Use of CD only with studio CD recording.
- It’s not allowing performance on playback.
Evaluation criteria: artistic qualities of the repertoire, style and character of the performance; performance artistry and compositional decisions, stage presence and generally artistic impact, style and musical repertoire; Suit.
Stylized folklore: Can participate groups, which combine in their repertoire folk and modern dances.
Example: folklore music with modern technique or modern music with folklore elements.
- The program of dance groups should include two dances.
- Duration of the performances to 12 minutes.
- Music media - CD
Evaluation criteria: Artistic value of the performance, stage presence, technique and vision.

REQUIREMENTS FOR POPULAR MUSIC AND MODERN DANCES:
Dances: It’ s organized in three competitive categories:
 Solo performances;
 Chamber groups - to 7 people
 Formations - more than 8 people.
In the competition can participate groups developing their creativity in any of the following dance styles: Street dance /break dance, funk styles, hip hop, etc./ Disco dancing, majorettes / dance, dress and sport styles /; Modern dance techniques; jazz performances; Tap dance / step /, typical dances, belly dancing, Latin dancing, Dance shows / fire show, rubber, acrobatics, etc./
The program must include three dances with a total duration to 10 minutes.
Evaluation criteria: technique, composition (choreography), image, show presentation / idea.
Note: The competition is not conducted in styles and look for the most attractive show performance.
Popular music:
The program must include two songs, the first must to be from Bulgarian composer, with total duration to 6 minutes.
Note:
- Use of CD only with studio CD recording.
- It’s not allowing performance on playback.
Criteria for evaluation: Character and style of performance, stage presence and generally artistic impact; Suit.

THE REQUIREMENTS FOR OTHER STAGE DIRECTIONS:
Competition for theater groups, suggesting presence of compositionally - complete fragment with duration not more than 15 minutes.
For acrobatic and circus performances are allowed two performances with a total duration of 10 min.
Criteria for evaluation: Themes and selection of repertoire, performance artistry, staging, costume and props, originality, stage effects.
ORGANIZATION:
The programs for individual participation and these for the festival days will be given in the day of the arrival of the groups.
During the festival the concerts and the competition nights are on open summer stage in Primorsko and Kiten and on open stages in the area of the municipality.
It is envisaged a festive parade before the start of the concerts in each of the festival, exhibitions - bazaar of souvenirs, a meeting with the municipality administration, video and photo capture of the performances.
(The organizers reserve the right of any kind of recording, filming, broadcasting and distributing of the material without paying for rights and benefits.)
For all participants of the festival has the following entertainments: Disco, Neptun’ s night, Miss and Mister Festival.
On the Gala concert will be allowed only the nominated groups and these which the jury estimate.
For all participants in the festival were provided participation diplomas, plaques for the nominated, which will be presented at the gala concert.
During the festival is provided for the participants accommodation in hotel two stars, on the base of full board in city Primorsko against payment.

Transportation costs to Primorsko and back shall be paid by the participants!!!
Transport costs for the participants during the festival of the stages in Primorsko and Kiten are for the cost of the organizers.
The fees obligatory must to be paid by bank transfer in 15 days, after the confirmation for participation from the organizers. In this period it is necessary to send the transfer confirmation by email or fax. Applications without confirmation are canceled.

Note: The groups must to arrive on 19.07 after 12 o’clock and to depart on 28.07.13 after breakfast.
PRIZE FUND
- For the classed on first place: plaque, diploma and certificate for participation.
- For the classed on second place: diploma and certificate for participation;
- Special nominations for costume, attractiveness, behavior during the festival, Miss and Mr. festival.
