At 8.00pm, at Filopappou Hill, from 13th to 27th of September, traditions from different Greek regions come to life. Every region is being presented through its traditional costumes, musical instruments, songs and dances.

Dancers, folk musicians and singers in authentic local costumes, offer wonderful performances. The name of the Dance Ensemble is bearing the same name as the Theatre - `Dora Stratou`

`The Queen of Romani Song` Esma Redzepova will go to a great tour in USA with her 5-piece band (trumpet, clarinet, dumbek-drums, keyboard and accordion) the Ansambl Teodosievski.

The best in international music converges upon Chicago when the city hosts the sixth annual multi-venue World Music Festival: Chicago 2004. Organized by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, the week-long festival showcases both traditional and contemporary music from many of the world’s diverse cultures. MS Music Agency presents in partnership with Lewis & Clark College World Music Celebration a cultural event in three sections presenting and combining different musical genres on Saturday, September 18, 2004 in Portland, Oregon.
The event takes place at Evans Auditorium on the lovely Lewis & Clark campus, 0615 SW Palatine Hill Rd, and is supported in part by RACC (Regional Arts & Culture Council).

Family Presentation (Section I, 1 - 2pm) A cross-cultural experience that introduces audiences to the rich musical culture of the world.
The Dance (Section II, 2:30 - 4:30pm) Participatory international folk dancing, giving folk dance enthusiasts and novices a chance to experience dancing to live music authentically presented by the WMC International Band.
The Concert (Section III, 8 - 10pm) Concert of new works by gifted composer Milen Slavov, in an innovative world music fusion style, which combines the beauty of Balkan vocals, the exotic sound of ethnic instruments, and the warmth of classical instruments.
