Up to 300 dancers perform in a variety of venues. From the Opening Ceremonies, through the Parade, the Street Festival, Youth Culture Classes, Adult Dance Classes, Performances, and other ceremonies it is not unusual to see dancing, singing, and laughter filling the streets.
The goal of the festival is to have a cultural exchange between the community and countries of the world.

Every second year Borsele presents an International Folkdance Festival, with dance- and folkloristic groups from different countries. The week of the festival is during the summer holidays.
