This is the fourth time “Pessenen Folklore – Elena” foundation organizes “With Stoyan Radev’s Songs” song contest. The competition was first found in 1998 in the town of Targovishte after the idea of Elena Vassileva. It is held every third year in the memory of the Dobrudzha singer Stoyan Radev. The contest shows performers from 5 to 25 years old from all ethnographical regions of Bulgaria. The regulations for participation is to perform two songs, one should be from Stoyan Radev’s repertoire.
The third folklore gathering called “Bridge Between Generations” was organized by “Pesenen Folklore Elena” Foundation and the Municipality of Targovishte on Elena Vassiliva’s initiative.
Pupils and students performing Bulgarian folklore, folklorists, teachers, ethnomusicologist, media and popular performs took part.
National School of Folklore Arts in Kotel, Academy of Music, Dance and Art in Plovdiv, Bulgarian National Radio, and folklore singing class at II school ‘Prof. N. Marinov” in Varna, Bourgas, Shoumen and many others were amongst the performers.
Foreigners were welcome to take part along with the Bulgarian.

Ten children’s folklore ensembles from Sofia and the country will take part in the fifth children’s national folklore competition-concert “Bulgarian Folklore 2007”, which will take place on 1 December 2007 (Saturday) from 5 pm in the Hall of UACG (University of Architecture, Construction and Geodesy) in Sofia.

The premiere night of Neshka Robeva’s show “Refugees”.
Neshka’s dancers will portray the immigrants’ fate by the means of an unexpected and true mixture of Argentine tango with Balkan, Armenian and Jewish rhythms.
