CHANIA IS the most beautiful area of Crete, known for the typical old town, the old Venetian port & castle and the natural beauty, ALMYRIDA is a fishing village, has beautiful sandy beaches with crystal clear waters, safe beaches awarded with blue flag, that are also home to water sports, diving and fishing. The hills with the olive trees and the mountain range of Lefka Ori (White Mountains), give to the area very cool climate.
Cretans’ hospitality and the traditional Cretan food & wine, will make your holidays EXCEPTIONAL!
Pedagogy
-Dance courses in full A/Ced conference room every morning 09.30-13.00 plus some evenings 18.00-20.00.
-Choreographers will be Mary Markaki, dances from Crete and Islands Panagiotis Goulas, dances from Sarakatsani and Thrace plus other that will be announced at the end of Aprila and will focus on dances from Central Greece, Thessalia, Epiros, Asia Minor and Macedonia.
A Briefing on the traditional dances, music, costumes, customs will be given by each choreographer and they will give details in writing for each area.
THE TEACHING WILL BE IN GREEK, ENGLISH AND FRENCH LANGUAGES.

Activities
-Lessons of RIZITIKA SONGS, MEN FIGURES and CRETAN CUISINE: Teachers people from mountain village
-Climbing the famous White Mountains and collect your own aromatic/health herbs, as also summer fruits
-Visit the Cretan shepard’s farms in order to “help” them (armexoun) the (arnia and katsikia) and spend time with them (eating, singing, dancing)
-Visit Sfendoni’s cave, Chania or Rethymnon old town and port or the Sfakia villages and gorge (your choise).
-Bowling tournoua and games on the beach with ………special awards – surprise !!!!!!
-Hotel organizes visits to Knossos Palace, Gramvousa and Balos’ Cruise and others.
Hotel We’ll stay at Almyrida Beach Hotel & Studios, 4 stars hotel, that is exactly on the beach of the village (www.almyridaresort.com).The rooms provide A/C, SatTV, Fridge, Hairdryer, Bath, Radio, Direct Dial Telephone, sea/mountain view balconies. The hotel also provides bars, 3 swimming pools and also (at local charge) Jacuzzi, Safe deposit box and Mini Bar. In the hotel restaurants are served real Cretan specialties, but also you can taste all the different styles of cuisine as fish, meat, pizza, souvlaki..at the village’s taverns on the beach.
Cost is: 690/prsn in double room (reduced price!). Friends or family guests who will not attend the dance courses, could be with us everywhere and pay 550 Euros in double room.

Useful InfosARRIVAL-Distances from/to ALMYRIDA: Airports= Chania 27Km (taxi 40 euros), Heraklion 157 Km (taxi approx. 120 euros), Ports=Chania/Souda 19Km (taxi 25 euros), Rethymnon 25Km (taxi 50 euros).
Also, there is bus service connection 3-4 times/day to Chania, Rethymno, Heraklion and the near villages.
