Folk Dance, Music and Singing Workshop - Balkanfolk 2010

Details of the Bulgarian and Serbian Folk dances, as well as Bulgarian folk songs and instruments which will be taught at the Balkanfolk 2010 workshop will be published after 1st March 2010.  As an example, you can find below the 2009 programme.

Bulgarian folk dances

The Bulgarian dance lessons are in groups with a duration of 90 minutes.

In the classes you will learn dances from the five folklore regions of Bulgaria.

Pirin Region

Shoppian Region

Serbian folk dances

The Serbian dance lessons are in groups with a duration of 90 minutes. There are two groups – for advanced and for beginners. Every group has one lesson daily.

Musical folk instruments

Musical instruments courses are individual and last 60 minutes. Each participant may subscribe for not more than two classes daily per instrument. The instruction is by notes or by ear. The teachers take into consideration the workshop programme of every participant depending on its skills.

 
Bulgarian singing

The Bulgarian folk singing lessons may be either individual or in a group,  each with a duration of 60 minutes, once daily. Folk songs from the different regions of Bulgaria are included in the programme:

4. Pita le, mome, vashite
5. Pustono ludo i mlado
6. Ranila e hubava Grozdana
7. Ruma moma
8. Stoy, pogleday, mamo
9. Zalyubi Ivancho
10. Zalyubih si edno libe

For individual lessons, the teacher takes into consideration the skill of the participant and works out a programme accordingly.

 
Bulgarian language

The group lessons of Bulgarian language are for beginners. You also have the possibility to study Bulgarian language individually. The teacher will take into consideration the level of each participant and tailor the lessons accordingly.
