Learning Folk Instruments

Possibility to learn the following instruments: “Gajda”, “Kaval”, “Tambura”, “Tapan”, “Klarinet”, “Saksofon”, together with Filip Arilon, Stojan Stojanov and the orchestra Vila Zora Depending on the number of participants timing for learning the instruments will be additionally defined. There will be live music together with the folklore ensemble Vila Zora. Participants should apply before arrival if they want to learn an instrument. Instrument pricing is only for a group.

Tour of Bitola
Before going to Bitola we are going to have a nice lunch in a nearby village. After lunch we continue towards Bitola. As the night falls we will enjoy the famous folk dance festival “Ilindenski Denovi” (Ilinden days), held in Bitola.

Tour to a Ohrid’s Lake
A top destination on the Balkans, natural beauties that will leave you breathless. After breakfast we head towards the Ohrid lake. The activities will be planned according to the festivities calendar in Ohrid.

Hallo dear friends,MUSICIANS,DANCERS,SINGERS & VISITORS:

"Macedonian Pearl Folk-Seminar 2018".... Will be held again in the eastern part of Macedonia-city of Berovo-HOTEL" MANASTIR" high 4 stars hotel, 5 miles from Ratevo,( Ratevka Dance) 3 miles from Rusinovo village( Berovka Dance) and 2 miles from one of the most beautiful mountain lake in Macedonia-"Berovo Lake". This is the most beautiful and clean ECO region inMacedonia.Neighborhood is authentic Village style. Gypsy quart is very close to the hotel,so it will be a lot of dancing and singing all the time. Big open market is 0.5 mile from the hotel. ..... ...........It will be few more local dance teachers for traditional village style..Of course every night will be live music with Goran Alachki & friendsI hope you will enjoy again in our beautiful Macedonia, exploring eastern part of our beauties. Next year we expect people from USA,Canada,Germany,Belgium,Sweden,Norway,Hungary,Australia, Brazil and Japan.... The number of participants is LIMITED on 40 people maximum.

Also I will show you my village " Vladimirovo" included roast lamb and home made bread....(3 miles from the Hotel).... In the free time, Bajsa will show us a lot of things in Gypsy (Roma ) neighborhood (relatives,musician s,dancers) ......It will be picnic on sheepfold in the mountain...and a lot of surprises...
This seminar we have fusion with famous Balkan Folk Seminar .
For the first time Mr. Emil Genov will be advance teacher on MPFS 2011 for Pirin dances.

This year FOLKLORING will concentrate on the area of Central North Bulgaria and Stara Planina mountain. We will have numerous folk dance and song workshops with the people from the villages of Ledenik, Hotnitsa, Bulgarsko Slivovo and also from the towns Gabrovo and Sevlievo. We will visit many beautiful places, monasteries, have picnics and parties and above all – good times! This is not a dance camp, we do not promise simple learning of steps or reading notes. We do promise you, however, the Bulgarian spirit and our roots. Our goal is to give everyone who is enchanted with traditional Bulgarian music and dance the opportunity to learn from original source presenters – people showing music and dance from their own native areas.
Live the Bulgarian spirit by meeting local people who will teach you their traditional ways!
